Built Once. Built Right.

Tools

How long until you move in?

Pick what you are building and how it will be approved. You get every stage from first call to handover, drawn to scale from the ranges we work to in our process, and the month you could be handed the keys.

  • From our published timeframes
  • Stage by stage, to scale
  • A real programme comes with your quote

Plan your timeline

Two choices. The chart redraws for your project, with the shortest time for each stage in solid and how long it could run in a lighter tone.

Indicative only. Every project gets its own programme once we have assessed your home, and we give it to you with the quote. Stages can overlap and approvals depend on your council and site. Where we have not published a duration (the assessment stage and the DA pathway), the range is our working estimate.

Honest timeframes

Where these durations come from.

Every project gets its own timeline once we have assessed your home. Below are the ranges published on our service pages.

Keeping to time

What keeps a programme on track.

  1. 01

    Expensive questions first

The engineer looks before we price, and the scope is written before the contract. Questions asked in week one cost nothing; in week eight they cost weeks.
  2. 02

    Selections locked before site start

Tiles, tapware, flooring and colours are chosen and confirmed at step 7, because mid build selection changes are where budgets and timelines go to die.
  3. 03

    The right approval pathway

We choose between a CDC through a private certifier and a DA through council for your property, prepare the documents and answer the questions that come back.
  4. 04

    One project manager

A named person runs your build day to day and is introduced before construction starts. You get a weekly update whether or not there is good news in it.
  5. 05

    Weather and the roof

On a second storey there is a short period with the roof off. We plan weather protection and tell you in advance when it is safer to be out of the house.
  6. 06

    Changes, in writing

Changes are priced and timed in a written variation, and none goes ahead until you sign it. Read the ten steps.
